The last several years now, Lee has entered images in the annual CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER Travel Photo Contest. 'Though he has never topped any of the categories, he did manage to place in the People's Choice popularity contest in which voters chose their favorite image from among the best "also ran" pictures passed over by the judges twice, in 2011 with an image of two Indian women relaxing in a window at a palace in Madurai and most recently with this image of three Burmese kids looking through a telescope at the seventy-five carat diamond crowning the top of the Schwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar taken in 2012.
